South Korean Non Governmental organization donates essential medical equipment to Sri Lanka


Essential medical equipment for Sri Lanka, worth over Rs. 13 million was officially handed over to H.E. Savitri Panabokke, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea on 8th March 2023 by the NGO Human Earth and the Mediline Active Co Ltd., at an official handing over ceremony at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul


Speaking at the ceremony, the Ambassador conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the Human Earth and Mediline Active Korea for the donation, which will be of great value to the hospitals and people of Sri Lanka. She also expressed her appreciation to Most Ven. Thalgamuwe Dammakiththi Thero, Chief Incumbent of the Korea Sri Lanka Maha Viharaya for facilitating this meritorious act and to Sri Lankan Airlines office in Korea for the assistance rendered to transport the consignment. She also highlighted that the donation was an indication of the robust people to people relations between Sri Lanka and the Republic of Korea.


Ms. Sachini Dias, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul coordinated the arrangements to forward the donation to Sri Lanka.


Ven. Dr. Thalduwe Dhammakiththi Thero, representatives from Human Earth Welfare Non-Profit Organization, Mediline Active Korea, Sri Lanka Airlines Office in Korea and Korea-Sri Lanka Mahaviharaya were also present at the event.
